Make.Shift News 4.25.17

Oh hey. Hope everyone had an amazing week filled with sun, then rain, then sun and rain again. We have a bunch of exciting events coming up this week and they’re all indoors as part of our April Weather Preparedness Program™. What’s the phrase again? “April showers give you powers” or something? Pretty sure that’s it. (Insert winking emoji here).

We have three shows coming up this weekend starting on Friday, April 28 featuring the sultry, smooth stylings of Judy Just Judy, soulful sounds of Marina Price, and cat-loving, misogynist-crushing duo Cat Valley. On April 29, local acts Cat Positive and Pizza Wizard take the stage with Ever Ending Kicks from Anacortes and Portland-based Yardsss for one truly eclectic, genre-bending night! Sunday the 30th we’ll be closing out our month of shows with Seattle sweethearts Ramona and Beverly Crusher along with local faves The Wednesdays and Black Radish (formerly V-day cover sensation Ke$ha). Each show starts at 8 p.m. and is $6!

Our gallery is partnering with Art Peace School for Kids Art Walk next month featuring projects inspired by superheroes and villains! Art Peace School believes that self-expression is integral to self-discovery. Hey, we do too! If you haven’t started on your costumes and capes, now is the time to do so!

If you’re interested in volunteering then we love you.
